The annual Mormon Miracle Pageant in Manti, Utah, USA, will portray the visit of the resurrected Christ to the Nephites in ancient America after the great destruction following His Crucifixion (see 3 Nephi 11–28).
The Church-sponsored pageant will take place June 21–23 (Thursday to Saturday) and 26–30 (Tuesday to Saturday), 2012, at the foot of the Manti Utah Temple, from about 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. It is available in English and Spanish each evening.
The drama features more than 800 performers who depict scenes from ancient American history. It presents three intertwined stories—the Restoration of the gospel, the witnesses of the Book of Mormon, and the journey of pioneers to the Sanpete Valley.
The event is free and does not require tickets. Gates will open at 6:00 p.m., and more than 14,000 seats will be available on a first come, first served basis. Additional space is provided on the temple grounds for blankets, and personal chairs can be set up in another seating area.
