Elder Michael T. Ringwood
Elder Michael T. Ringwood was sustained a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 4, 2009, at age 51. He previously served as a counselor in the Asia North Area Presidency and is currently serving as president of that area.
Elder Ringwood has served in a number of Church callings, including a full-time missionary in the Korea Seoul Mission, bishop, high councilor, high priests group leader, Scoutmaster, stake president, and mission president.
Elder Ringwood graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in accounting from Brigham Young University in 1983. In 1986 he became vice president of the Huntsman Corporation and remained there for fourteen years. In 2000 he was named president of Bear Creek Foods and more recently, president and chief financial officer of Packsize LLC. In addition he was a member of the Board of Advisors at the BYU School of Accountancy.
Michael Tally Ringwood was born in Provo, Utah, on February 14, 1958. He married Rosalie Nelson in December 1982 in the Jordan River Temple. They are the parents of five children and have two grandchildren.
