New Orlando Temple President Called

Dennis Monroe Cox Sr., 74, Bumby Ward, Orlando Florida Stake, called as president of the Orlando Florida Temple, succeeding President William Austin Tilton. President Cox’s wife, Alice Patricia Clark Cox, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Connie F. Tilton, who died December 5. President Cox serves as first counselor in the Orlando Florida Temple. He has previously served as a counselor in a stake presidency, bishop, high councilor, and high priests group leader. A retired service and construction field superintendent for Schindler Elevator Corporation, he was born in Orlando, Florida, to Otis Leon and Ruth Rosalee Cox.

Sister Cox has been serving as an assistant to the matron of the Orlando Florida Temple. She has served as a stake and ward Relief Society president, ward Young Women president, ward Primary president, and temple ordinance worker. She was born in DeFuniak Springs, Florida, to Henry Lewis and Ardella Mae Armstrong Clark.
