This company of discharged Mormon Battalion veterans departed from San Diego, California with 35 men and 1 woman. They traveled north to Chino and San Bernardino, over Cajon Pass following the Old Spanish Trail via Las Vegas until just north of Cedar City where they proceeded to Salt Lake City.
