The Savior and the Disciples Joumana Borderie Acrylic on paper, 2002 This painting shows the Savior surrounded by a few disciples. They represent all those from the beginning down to our day who showed loyalty and were worthy to serve the Lord. The image was inspired by the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price. When reading the scriptures, the artist saw the hand of the Lord in the plan and the destiny of man through all of time. One can see also how much the Savior helps, changes, and lights up the souls of men. |
