The Source Shirley Taylor McKay Acrylic on paper, 2002 Painting allows this artist to tap into spiritual truths that she is not able to verbalize. She hopes that this work will encourage the viewer to think about the eternal nature of man and the various levels or planes of our existence. We look to the Light of Christ as our guide to help us prepare for our next spiritual journey. As the source of light in the painting appears to be coming toward us, so we know that God's Spirit reaches out to us. All we need is to have open and receptive hearts. |
