May AndersonPrimary President - 19251939 In 1925, longtime Primary worker May Anderson became the second general president of the Primary. During the first 62 years of the Primary organization, only two women served as its general president. May Anderson, a convert from England, met Sister Felt only five years after the Primary had first been organized. They became such close friends that for most of the years until her own call as general Primary president, Sister Anderson lived in the home of Sister Felt. May Anderson's earliest involvement in Primary was as Sister Felt's friend. But she was soon called as the secretary to the general Primary presidency and then served for many years as a counselor to Sister Felt. |
