The Trail to the PriesthoodTrail Building was the longest lasting program in Primary. The Trail Builder program started in 1925 as an achievement program for boys ages 9 to 11. Bandlos, beanies, a rousing song, and engaging activities all made this a program that most who participated in remember with fondness. Underlying all the exuberance was the always serious goal of preparing boys to receive and honor the Aaronic Priesthood when they turned 12 years old. In 1951 Cub Scouting became an additional program spnsored by the Primary for boys this age. |
