This new LDS.org Web site is still being developed. As a result, some sections are not yet complete and some of the materials found in the current LDS.org are not yet available on the new LDS.org. We ask for your patience as you use the new site. If you have specific questions or want to let us know about a problem with the new Web site, please use the Feedback link at the bottom of almost any page. We also invite you to use that link to share with us your experiences with this new site.
When complete, this section of the new LDS.org will highlight the blessings of community service and provide resources to help you organize and participate in meaningful service in your community. One of the greatest blessings of community service will be found in the natural opportunities that will arise to share the gospel with those you serve.
Service is fundamental to spiritual growth and well-being. “When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God” (Mosiah 2:17). This counsel from King Benjamin expresses the duties of Latter-day Saints. Members of the Church are expected to serve others in their families, in Church callings, and in their communities.
