Naʻe haʻu ai ʻa Sione Papitaiso ko e tali ki he “lotu fakamātoato” ko iá, ʻo ne toe fakafoki mai ʻa e ngaahi kī mo e mālohi ʻo e Lakanga Taulaʻeiki Faka-ʻĒloné, ʻa ia kuo foaki ki heʻetau kau talavou ʻi he haʻofangá ni. ʻOku ʻikai ha ofo ʻi hono fakakau ʻe he Palōfita ko Siosefá ʻa e fakalea nounou mo mahino ko ʻení ʻi he ngaahi tefito ʻo [ʻetau] tuí, “ʻOku mau tui kuo pau ke uiuiʻi ʻa e tangatá ʻe he ʻOtua ʻi he kikite pea mo e hilifaki ʻo e nima ʻe kinautolu pē ʻoku maʻu ʻa e mafaí [koeʻuhí] ke malangaʻaki ʻa e Ongoongoleleí mo fai hono ngaahi ouaú.”8 ʻOku fie maʻu ha meʻa ia ʻoku mahulu hake pē he aleapau ʻa e tangatá, ʻi he taimi ʻoku tau ngāueʻaki ai e mafai fakalangí. Naʻá ne mavahe mei he feohiʻanga lotu ʻa hono tokoua ʻiloa ko Sioné, ko e tupu mei ha loto ʻa Sione ke ne fai fakanofo taʻe ʻi ai hano mafai ke fai peheé, ko ia ne hiki malimali ai ʻe Sālesi ʻo pehē:

“Meʻa faingofua ko e fokotuʻu pīsopé
ʻI he loto ʻo e tangatá pe fefiné:
ʻI hono fakanofo ʻo Kouki ʻe Uaisēleé,
Ka ko hai koā naʻá ne fakanofo ʻa Uaisēleé?”10

Pea ʻoku tau fie maʻu moʻoni ʻa e ngaahi tāpuaki ʻo e lakanga fakataulaʻeikí—ʻi heʻetau kau ki he Siasí, mo ʻetau hoko ko ha fakafoʻituitui mo ha ngaahi fāmili ʻi he Siasí. Ko ha kiʻi fakatātā ʻeni ʻe taha:

Ne u lave ʻanenai ange ki he vahaʻa taimi ʻi Ketilaní ʻi he hisitōlia ʻo e Siasí. Ko e taʻu 1836 mo e 1837, ko e ongo taʻu faingataʻa taha ia ne fehangahangai mo e Siasí ʻi heʻene kei kamata foʻoú—ʻi he meʻa fakapaʻangá, fakapolitikalé pea pehē ki he lotoʻi Siasí. ʻI he lolotonga e ngaahi haʻahaʻa ko iá, naʻe maʻu ai ʻe Siosefa Sāmita ʻa e ueʻi fakapalōfita ko ʻení ke ʻoatu ha niʻihi ʻo e kau tangata ala lavameʻa tahá (ʻa ia ko e kotoa e Kōlomu ʻo e Kau ʻAposetolo ʻe Toko Hongofulu Mā Uá) ke nau ngāue fakafaifekau ki muli. Naʻe lolotonga ʻohake ʻe he tamaí ni ʻa hono lotó . . . ki he ʻOtuá, [ʻo tautapa] kiate Ia ʻokú Ne tokangaʻi e ‘fanga manupuná, mo fafanga ʻa e fanga lēvení ʻi heʻenau tangí,’ ke Ne feau muʻa e ngaahi fie maʻu ʻa hono uaifí mo ʻene fānaú lolotonga ʻene mavahé.
