Naʻe maʻu ʻe Pita ha fakamoʻoni mei he Laumālié ki hono faka-ʻOtua ʻo Sīsū Kalaisí. Naʻe ʻiloʻi ia ʻe Pita pea naʻe hoko mai ia ʻi he fakahā. ʻI he taimi naʻe fakahā ai ʻe Sīsū ki he loeá kuo pau ke ne ʻofa ki hono kaungāʻapí ʻo hangē pē ko iá ka ne lava ʻo maʻu e moʻui taʻengatá, naʻe pehē ange ʻe he loeá kia Sīsū: “Ko hai hoku kaungāʻapí?” Pea tali ʻa Sīsū kiate ia ʻaki ʻa e talanoa fakatātā ʻo e Samēlia leleí, peá Ne toki fehuʻi ange leva: “ʻOkú ke mahalo, ko hai ʻi he toko tolú ni naʻe kaungāʻapi kiate ia naʻe moʻua ki [he] kau kaihaʻá? Naʻe akoʻi ʻe he Tuʻi ko Penisimaní ki he Kāingalotu ʻi hono kuongá: “Koeʻuhí ke tauhi ha fakamolemole ʻo hoʻomou ngaahi angahalá mei he ʻaho ki he ʻaho . . . ʻoku ou fakaʻamu ke mou foaki mei hoʻomou ʻū meʻá ki he masivá, . . . hangē ko e fafanga ʻo e fiekaiá, . . . ʻaʻahi ki he mahakiʻiá, pea kau ʻi he tokoni kiate kinautolu ʻi he meʻa fakalaumālié mo fakatuʻasinó fakatouʻosi.”4 ʻOku mou fai nai ha tokoni fakalaumālie mo fakatuʻasino kiate kinautolu ʻoku fie maʻu iá? ʻOku mou tokoni nai ke fakamālohia e tui ʻa kinautolu ʻoku haʻu ki he tākangá, ʻo hangē ko e kole ʻa hotau kau palōfita ʻi hotau ʻahó ni?
ʻOku ʻuhinga e fakauluí ki hono fakatapui hoʻo moʻuí ke tokanga, tokoniʻi e niʻihi ʻoku fie maʻu tokoní pea mo vahevahe atu hoʻo ngaahi meʻafoakí mo e ngaahi tāpuakí. ʻI hoʻomou fononga he moʻuí, kuo pau ke mou ala atu ʻo tokoni mo faitāpuekina e moʻui ʻa homou kaungā fonongá, ke foaki ʻetau moʻuí maʻanautolu ʻoku fie maʻu hoʻomou tokoní. He kuo folofola ʻa e ʻEikí ʻo pehē, “He ko ia ia ʻoku loto ke kalofaki ʻene moʻuí, ʻe mole ia; ka ko ia ia ʻe mole ʻene moʻuí koeʻuhí ko au mo e ongoongoleleí, ʻe maʻu ʻe ia ia.”6
Naʻe fakataumuʻa ʻe Sēmisi ʻene tohí ki he “faʻahinga ʻe hongofulu mā ua kuo fakahē mamaʻó.”7 ʻE lava ke tau fakaʻaongaʻi ʻene ngaahi akonakí kiate kitautolu, ko e kakai ʻa e ʻEiki he ʻaho ki mui ní, ʻa ia te tau tali ʻa e ongoongolelei kuo toe fakafoki maí. ʻOkú ne akoʻi mai ha ngaahi tefitoʻi moʻoni ke ne tataki homou vā mo e toenga ʻo e kāingalotu ʻo e Siasí. ʻOkú ne ui ko e “fono fakaʻeiʻeiki” ʻa e fekau ko ia ke “ʻofa ki ho kaungāʻapí ʻo hangē pē ko koé.”8 Naʻe ʻikai feʻunga kia Sēmisi ʻa e fakamoʻoní ʻataʻatā pē. Kuo pau ke hoko moʻoni ʻa e ongoongoleleí ko ha konga moʻoni ʻo hoʻomou moʻuí. “Pea te u fakahā kiate koe ʻa ʻeku tuí ʻaki ʻeku ngaahi ngāué”9 “Ka ke fai ʻe kimoutolu ki he folofolá, pea ʻoua naʻa ngata ʻi he fanongó [pē].”10 Ko e fakaʻuhinga ʻeni ʻa Sēmisi ki he ului moʻoní: “Ko e lotu māʻoniʻoni mo taʻe hano mele ʻi he ʻao ʻo e ʻOtua ko e Tamaí, ko ʻeni ia, ke ʻaʻahi ki he ngaahi tamai maté mo e kau fefine kuo mate honau ʻunohó ʻi heʻenau mamahí, peá ke fakaʻehiʻehi ia mei māmani ke taʻe hano mele.”11 Naʻá ne fakaʻosi ʻene tohi nounoú ʻaki e ngaahi leá ni: “ʻE kāinga, kapau ʻe hē hamou toko taha mei he moʻoní pea fakafoki mai ia ʻe ha taha; ke ʻilo ʻe ia, ko ia ʻokú ne fakafoki mai ʻa e angahalá mei hono hala heé, ʻokú ne fakamoʻui ha laumālie . . . pea ʻokú ne ʻufiʻufi foki ʻa e ngaahi angahala lahi.”12 ʻI he taimi ʻoku mou fakafoki mai ai hamou tokoua ne hē atú, ʻoku mou fakamoʻui ai ia pea mo kimoutolu foki. ʻOku fufū pe fakangata ai hoʻomou angahalá koeʻuhí ko hoʻomou ngāue ke fakamoʻui ʻa e niʻihi kehé.

Kapau ʻoku tau fie mamata ki hono fakahoko ʻo e ngaahi talaʻofá, kuo pau ke tau fai e meʻa ne fakamatalaʻi mai ʻe Molonaí: “Pea kuo hili ʻa e tali ʻa kinautolu ki he papitaisó . . . naʻe lau ʻa kinautolu fakataha mo e kakai ʻo e siasi ʻo Kalaisí; pea naʻe tohi honau ngaahi hingoá, koeʻuhí ke manatuʻi mo fafanga [kinautolu] . . . ke taki ʻa kinautolu ʻi he hala totonú.”15
ʻOku toko lahi ha kāingalotu mālohi ʻoku nau tui ʻoku kehe ʻa e ʻulungāanga ʻo e kāingalotu māmālohi mo e kau ului foʻou ʻoku hē mei he Siasí, koeʻuhí ko e ʻikai ke nau tui ki he tokāteline ʻo e Siasí. ʻOku ʻikai poupouʻi e fakamahamahalo ko ʻení ʻe he ngaahi fakatotolo kuo faí. ʻOku hā mei he ako ne faí, meimei ko e kāingalotu māmālohi kotoa pē ne ʻinitaviú, ne nau tui ʻoku ʻi ai ha ʻOtua pea ko e Kalaisí ʻa Sīsū pea ko Siosefa Sāmitá ko ha palōfita pea ʻoku moʻoni ʻa e Siasí.
ʻOku lahi ha ngaahi uooti mo ha ngaahi kolo ʻoku ʻi ai ha kakai tangata mo fafine lelei mo angatonu, ka ʻoku ʻikai ke nau ʻiloʻi e founga ke toe foki mai ai ki he Siasí. ʻOku kau ai ha ngaahi faʻē mo ha ngaahi tamai lelei. Ne nau toki mavahe atu pē ka kuo ʻikai ha taha ʻe ʻaʻahi ange ʻo vakai kinautolu, pea nau maʻu ai e fakakaukau ʻoku ʻikai tokanga moʻoni ange ha taha kiate kinautolu. ʻI he taimi ʻoku ʻaʻahi ai ʻa e kakai tangata pe fafine ʻo e tuí ki he niʻihi fakafoʻituitui ko ʻení pea hoko ko honau kaungāmeʻa mo fakamālohia, lotu fakataha mo akoʻi kiate kinautolu ʻa e ongoongoleleí, ʻe foki mai leva ʻa e niʻihi ko ʻení mo honau ngaahi fāmilí. “Ko e meʻa ʻi hoʻomou fai ia ki ha taha ʻoku kihiʻi siʻi hifo ʻi hoku kāingá ni, ko hoʻomou fai ia kiate aú.”16 Ko hai ʻa kinautolú ni “siʻi hifo ʻi hoku kāingá”? ʻOku ʻuhinga nai e ʻEikí ki he tokotaha foʻou ne toki kau fakamuimuitaha mai ki he tākangá? pe ko kinautolu ko ia kuo tō atu ki he fakapoʻuli ʻo e māmālohí, pea te nau toe foki mai ʻo ka ala ange ha nima fie fakafeohi moʻoni ʻo taki mai kinautolu?
ʻI he feingatau ko ʻeni ki he ngaahi laumālie ʻo e tangatá, ʻoku toe fakamahinoʻi lelei mai ai kiate kitautolu ʻa e ngaahi tuʻutuʻuni fakangāue ko ʻení. Kuo pau ke ʻalu fakataha ʻa e kāingalotú mo e kau faifekau taimi kakató ʻi heʻenau akoʻi ʻa e ngaahi lēsoní pea nau ʻi ai hanau fatongia mahuʻinga ʻi hono fakaului mai ʻo e niʻihi kehé. Kuo pau ke hanga ʻe he kau faifekaú ʻo “malangaʻaki ʻeku ongoongoleleí ʻi he laumālié”17 ʻo fakaʻaongaʻi e fakalea honau lotó, ʻa e ngaahi lea ʻo e moʻoní ʻoku nau tukulotoʻi ʻi heʻenau akó mo e lotú. ʻOku ʻikai ngata pē ʻa e fatongia ʻo ʻetau kau faifekaú ki he fakaului ʻo e niʻihi kehé, he taimi ʻoku fai ai ʻa e papitaisó. ʻOku nau hoko atu ʻo akoʻi ʻa e kāingalotu foʻoú mo e niʻihi kehe ʻoku nau fie maʻu ha meʻatokoni fakalaumālié.
ʻOku hanga ʻe he ngaahi tohi ne toki ʻomi mei he Kau Palesitenisī ʻUluakí ʻo fakamanatu mai ki he kau taki lakanga fakataulaʻeikí ʻa honau fatongia ʻi hono fakamālohia mo poupouʻi ʻo e kāingalotu foʻoú. “ʻOku totonu ke fakahoko ʻa e fakafeohí ʻe he tokotaha kotoa pē ʻi he uōtí. . . . ʻE lava ke fakahoko ʻe he kau faiako fakaʻapí mo e kau faiako ʻaʻahí ha fatongia mahuʻinga.” ʻOku totonu ke ʻoange ki he kāingalotu foʻoú ha “ngaahi faingamālie ke nau ngāue mo tokoni ai ki he mālohi ʻa e uōtí.”18
Siʻi ngaahi tokoua mo e tuofāfine, kapau te tau hokohoko atu hono fakahoko ʻo e fakauluí mo e liliú, ʻo tatau pē ki he kāingalotu foʻoú mo kinautolu kuo fuoloa he Siasí, kuo pau ke tau ngāue pea fai ha tokoni fakalaumālie ki he niʻihi kehé, pea kuo pau ke tau tokoniʻi ʻa e niʻihi kehé ke nau aʻusia kakato ʻa e ngaahi tāpuaki ʻo e ongoongolelei kuo Toe Fakafoki Maí, ʻo kau ai e ngaahi tāpuaki ʻo e temipalé.
Naʻe fai ʻe he Palōfita ko Siosefa Sāmitá ha tohi ki he Kāingalotu ʻi hono taimí ʻo pehē:

Kuo pehē ʻe hotau palōfita ko Palesiteni Kōtoni B. Hingikelií: “ʻOku ou fakatauange peá u lotua, te tau taki taha fakapapau . . . ke fekumi kiate kinautolu ʻoku fie maʻu tokoní . . . pea ʻomi ʻa kinautolu ʻi he laumālie ʻo e ʻofa, ki he Siasí, ʻa ia ʻoku ʻi ai ha ngaahi nima mālohi mo ha ngaahi loto ʻofa ke fakamāfanaʻi, fakafiemālieʻi, tokoniʻi mo poupouʻi kinautolu pea mo tataki ʻa kinautolu ʻi he hala ki he fiefiá mo e moʻui lavameʻá.”20
ʻOku ʻikai ha meʻa ko e ʻofa lau pē, he ko e fekau ʻuluaki ia mo lahí, ʻa ia ko ha fekau ʻoku fie maʻu ki ai e ngāué—“Kapau ʻoku mou ʻofa kiate au, fai ʻeku ngaahi fekaú”21 pea “[Kapau ʻoku mou ʻofa kiate au] . . . fafanga ʻeku fanga sipí.”22
Kuo pau ke mou fai e meʻa kuo fakatou akoʻi mai ʻe he Fakamoʻuí mo ʻEne kau palōfita he kuohilí mo e lolotonga ní; ʻo ngāue, fakamālohia e tuí pea tokoniʻi ʻa kinautolu ʻoku nau fie maʻu hoʻomou ʻofá mo e tāpuakí. ʻOku mou maʻu e talaʻofa ʻa e ʻEikí: “Pea ʻilonga ia ʻe tali ʻa kimoutolú, te u ʻi ai foki mo au, he te u muʻomuʻa ʻi homou ʻaó . . . pea ʻe ʻi homou lotó ʻa hoku Laumālié.”23
Siʻi ngaahi tokoua mo e tuofāfine, ʻi hoʻomou ala atu ke tokoniʻi ha tahá, ʻe tāpuekina kimoutolu ʻaki Hono Laumālié. ʻOku akoʻi mai ʻe he ʻEikí ʻe fakatou “femahinoʻaki . . . pea [ʻe] fakamāmaʻi fakatouʻosi pea [ʻe] fiefia fakataha.”24
Ko ʻeku lotú ia ke tāpuekina fakatāutaha kitautolu ʻe he Tamai Hēvaní ʻaki ʻa e ʻofa ki he niʻihi kehé, “ʻa ia kuó ne foaki kiate kinautolu kotoa pē ʻoku muimui moʻoni ʻi hono ʻAló.”25 ʻOku ou fakamoʻoni ʻoku moʻui ʻa Hono ʻAlo ko Sīsū Kalaisí, pea ko ʻEne ongoongoleleí, ko e ongoongolelei ia ʻo e ʻofa. ʻI he huafa ʻo Sīsū Kalaisí, ʻēmeni.
