Latter-day Saint actors and singers are invited to audition for the Church-produced musical Savior of the World, which will be presented in the Conference Center Theater during the Christmas season.
Latter-day Saint actors of all ages are needed for leading and supporting roles. Those auditioning for leading roles should come with a resume and be able to perform 16 to 32 bars of a legitimate or classical musical theater song. An accompanist will be provided.
Families with children at least eight years old are encouraged to audition. Those auditioning for ensemble roles may sing a hymn or a Primary song with their family.
Auditions for all performers are by appointment and will be held August 30 and September 2-3, 2008, at the Bountiful Regional Center and September 4, 2008, at BYU in the Richards Building, room 1137 (walk-in's OK).
Rehearsals will begin on September 20, with performances running November 14, 2008, to December 27, 2008. Those who wish to audition should call 801-240-6492 to receive further information and to set up an appointment.
