Mahalo ʻoku fakakaukau hamou niʻihi he taimí ni, “Sai, ʻe Sisitā Sitīveni, ʻoku ʻikai mahino ia kiate koe!” Pea ʻoku ou tali atu mahalo ʻokú ke moʻoni. ʻOku ʻikai mahino kakato kiate au hoʻomou ngaahi faingataʻá. Ka ʻoku fakafou ʻi hoku ngaahi sivi mo e ʻahiʻahi fakatāutahá—ʻa e ngaahi meʻa kuó ne peluki hoku ongo tuí—ʻeku maheni lelei ai mo e Tokotaha ʻoku mahino kiate Iá—ʻa Ia naʻe “maheni mo e loto mamahí,”6 kuó Ne aʻusia pea mahino kiate Ia e meʻa kotoa. ʻI heʻetau hoko ko e ngaahi ʻofefine ʻo e ʻOtuá mo e kau ākonga ʻa Sīsū Kalaisí, ʻoku tau “ʻi ha tuʻunga ke ngāueʻi e ngaahi ongo kuo tōkaki ʻe he ʻOtuá ʻi [hotau] lotó.”8 ʻOku ʻikai fakangatangata pē hotau ivi tākiekiná ki hotau fāmili tonú.

ʻOku ʻikai fakangatangata pē ʻe Sisitā Vasi ʻene ʻofá mo e takiekiná ki hono fāmili totonú. ʻOku mahino kiate ia ʻa e ʻuhinga ke fakalahi atu ʻene tākiekiná ʻi heʻene feʻaluʻaki ʻo fai leleí, faitāpuekina, tanumaki mo taukaveʻi e fāmili ʻo e ʻOtuá. ʻOku mahino kiate ia “ko e fē pē ha taimi ʻoku fakamālohia ai ʻe ha fefine ʻa e tui ʻa ha kiʻi tamasiʻi, ʻokú ne tokoni ai ki he mālohi ʻo ha fāmili—ʻi he taimí ni pea ʻi he kahaʻú.”9

ʻOku toe fakamatalaʻi ʻe he laine tolu ʻo e hivá, ʻa e taumuʻa ʻo e moʻui fakamatelié: [“Ne ʻomi ʻe he ʻOtuá e ngaahi fāmilí ke tokoni ke tau aʻusia e tuʻunga ʻokú Ne finangalo ki aí.”] Naʻe akonaki e Fakamoʻuí ʻo pehē, “Ke mou taha pē; pea kapau ʻoku ʻikai te mou taha, ʻoku ʻikai ʻaʻaku ʻa kimoutolu.”10 ʻOku akoʻi mai ʻe he fanongonongo ʻo e fāmilí ʻi heʻetau hoko ko e ngaahi ʻofefine fakalaumālie ʻo ha ongomātuʻa fakalangí, ʻoku ʻi ai hatau natula fakaʻotua, puipuituʻa mo e taumuʻa taʻengata. ʻOku finangalo ʻa e ʻOtuá ke tau taha pē. ʻOku fie maʻu ʻe he ʻOtuá ke tau taha—ko ha ngaahi ʻofefine tauhi fuakava, ʻo kafataha ʻi he ngaahi tapa kehekehe ʻo ʻetau moʻui fakafoʻituituí11 pea ʻoku tau fie ako ʻa e meʻa kotoa ʻe lava ke tau toe foki ai ki Hono ʻaó, pea silaʻi kiate Ia ko e konga Hono fāmili taʻengatá.

“ʻOku fakaʻatā foki ʻe he ngaahi ouau mo e ngaahi fuakava toputapu ʻi he ngaahi temipale toputapú [kiate kitautolu] ke [tau] foki ki he ʻao ʻo e ʻOtuá pea mo e ngaahi fāmilí ke fakatahaʻi ʻo taʻengata.”12 ʻOku hanga ʻe he ngaahi ouau ʻoku tau maʻú mo e ngaahi fuakava ʻoku tau fai ʻi he papitaisó mo e ngaahi temipale māʻoniʻoní, ʻo fakafehokotaki e fāmili ʻo e ʻOtuá ʻi he ongo tafaʻaki fakatouʻosi ʻo e veilí—ʻo fakafehokotaki ai kitautolu ki heʻetau Tamaí ʻo fakafou ʻi Hono ʻAló, ʻa ia naʻá Ne lotu, “Koeʻuhí ke taha pē ʻa kinautolu kotoa pē; ʻo hangē ʻokú ke ʻiate aú, ʻe Tamai mo au ʻiate koe, koeʻuhí ke nau taha pē foki ʻiate kitaua.”13

ʻI heʻetau fakaʻaongaʻi hotau taimi ʻi he matelié ke ako mo fakahoko e ngaahi akonaki ʻa e Fakamoʻuí, ʻoku tau hoko lahi ange ai ʻo hangē ko Iá. ʻOku toe mahino ai kiate kitautolu ko Ia ʻa e halá—ʻa e halá pē taha—ʻe lava ke tau ikunaʻi ai e ngaahi faingataʻa ʻo e matelié, fakamoʻui ai kitautolu pea tau foki ai ki hotau ʻapi fakalangí.

“ʻOku fie maʻu lahi ke fakatahatahaʻi mai e kakai fefine ʻo e Siasí ke nau tuʻu fakataha mo tokoniʻi e Kau Takí ʻi hono tutuʻu hifo ʻo e kovi ʻoku huʻa mai ʻo ʻākilotoa kitautolú pea ʻi hono ʻunuakiʻi kimuʻa e ngāue ʻa e Fakamoʻuí. …

“… Ko ia ʻoku mau kole atu ke mou tokoni ʻaki homou ivi tākiekina mālohi ki he leleí ki hono fakamālohia hotau ngaahi fāmilí, hotau siasí, pea mo hotau tukui koló.”15

Ngaahi tokoua, ʻoku tau kau ʻi ha fāmili. ʻOku ʻofeina kitautolu. ʻOku fie maʻu kitautolu. ʻOku ʻi ai hatau taumuʻa fakalangi, ngāue, feituʻu mo e ngafa ʻi he Siasí mo e puleʻanga ʻo e ʻOtuá pea mo Hono fāmili taʻengatá. ʻOkú ke ʻiloʻi nai ʻi ho lotó ʻoku ʻofeina koe ʻe hoʻo Tamai Hēvaní pea ʻokú Ne finangalo ke mou nofo fakataha mo Ia mo e niʻihi ʻokú ke ʻofa aí? Hangē ko e “haohaoa ʻa e Tamai Hēvaní mo Hono ʻAló, ʻoku haohaoa foki ʻa Sīsū Kalaisi …, pea haohaoa ʻEna ʻamanaki maʻatautolú.”16 ʻOku haohaoa ʻena palani maʻatautolú pea ʻoku pau ʻEna ngaahi talaʻofá.
