235 Go Ye ThereforeMatthew 28:1620; Mark 16:1420 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Matthew 28:19 After Jesus was resurrected, He appeared to the Apostles. He told them He was disappointed because they had not believed those who said they had seen Him after His Resurrection. He reminded them that He had great power both in heaven and on earth. Then He expanded their missionary callings, saying, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" (Matthew 28:19; see also Matthew 28:1618; Mark 16:14). He also told them that only those people who believed and were baptized would be saved (see Mark 16:16). After Jesus ascended into heaven, the Apostles "went forth, and preached every where," and the Spirit of the Lord was with them (see Mark 16:1920).
