Biography: |
Brother Knowles was born in San Jose, California, but lived most of his life in the Boise, Idaho area--which also where he most recently taught prior to coming to Seattle. He and his wife, Lisa, have 6 children and live in Shoreline. 4 boys and 2 girls - the oldest a college freshman and the youngest is 3 years old. Brother Knowles has been with the Church Educational System for 20 years as a released-time seminary teacher, a curriculum designer, an coordinator of early-morning seminary, and as an Institute teacher. He has also taught for many years at EFY's, Education Weeks, and other Continuing Ed programs. He loves sports of most any kind, but especially loves to run and has a track and field addiction. Actually, he's addicted to the Olympic games and March Madness as well. And actually, he's addicted to history and historical sites. Actually, he has some addiction problems! But those addictions have led him to some fun travels and leading/directing American History and Church History tours amongst other things. Books are another thing with Brother Knowles -- stop by and check out his office ( . . . and it's not all of his books--some are at home and others stored down in the Institute dungeon). He moved to Seattle in July 2006 and is happy to be here.
