Biography:

Jerold E. Burns is a native of Ogden, Utah and has been involved in teaching seminary and institute for 35 years. he had the privilege of meeting Karen Williams working on the Institute Social Committee at Weber State and married her in the Salt Lake Temple in 1971. They are the parents of four children and six grandchildren. Brother Burns has completed degrees from Weber State University, Brigham Young University, and has a PhD from the University of Minnesota. He began his teaching career at the Ogden Seminary and has filled teaching and administrative assignments in Montana, Minnesota and Georgia. Personal interests include enjoying the beauty of the outdoors and building things. Missionary work has been a great blessing in their lives. Jerry served a mission to Brazil in 1966-68 and in 2004-2007 served with his wife as president of the Brazile Londrina Mission. Second only to family and church service, working with young people in the church has been a great blessing in his life. Brother and Sister Burns love the youth and know that the Lord has a tremendous confidence and expectations of them.
