Biography:

Jerald F. Simon has been employed by the Church Educational System since 1980. He began teaching part-time at the Ogden LDS Institute of Religion in 1982, and has been here full-time since 1992. He received his BGS degree from Weber State University and his MA from Brigham Young University. He also taught Seminary in the Ogden Area for twelve years. Brother Simon served in the Utah Salt Lake City Mission and is married to the former Denise Bullock. They are the parents of five sons and one daughter and they have three grandchildren. He feels that his greatest learning has been derived from his obedience to God's law and from the continual growth gained through the parenting process. He is enthused about life and family. He enjoys music, cooking, writing, nature, and gardening. Brother Simon is originally from Wisconsin, where he joined the church in 1975. Brother Simon wants to help students to 1) "Come unto Christ"; 2) Learn key doctrines pertaining to salvation; 3) Ingrain and embody teachings so each will act more like Jesus; 4) Strengthen their resolve to make and keep sacred covenants; and 5) Prepare them for service in the Kingdom of God.
