Biography: |
Garth L. Rasmussen was born and raised in Provo, UT. After serving a mission in Japan, he taught for two years at the Missionary Training Center while attending Brigham Young University. Brother Rasmussen taught released-time seminary for six years in Springville, Ut while earning both his master and doctoral degrees. After completing his studies at BYU, he was asked to be the institute director in Fresno California where he taught for 14 years. He is currently serving as the Institute Director of the Las Vegas Institute. He and his family reside in the Las Vegas area. He and his wife, Kathy, have seven children and eight grandchildren. Brother Rasmussen served as a bishop in Fresno and is currently serving as stake young men president. He loves sports, especially racquetball and ping-pong.
