Biography: |
Brother Mitchell has lived in Utah, Idaho, Missouri, Colorado, South Dakota, Greece and now Kansas.
After serving a 2-year LDS mission in Greece, he continued his studies at Brigham Young University where he eventually received a Bachelor's degree in Education. He later went on to study at Weber State University where he earned a Master's of Education degree in Curriculum Instruction & Design.
While attending college, Brother Mitchell worked for Independence High School as an Athletic Director, Head Basketball Coach, and Teacher.
After six years of public school experience, Brother Mitchell was hired on with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church Educational System (CES) as a seminary teacher.
In the summer of 2007, CES transferred Brother Mitchell from the released-time seminary program in West Bountiful to be the Area Coordinator for the Lawrence-Topeka Kansas Area. Beginning in the summer of 2008, he coordinates the Olathe and Lenexa Stakes as well as the Topeka Stake.
Brother Mitchell, his wife, and their 7 children are excited with the move to the Midwest. They love Kansas and all of the wonderful people here.
