QUESTIONS
DO YOU HAVE TO BE UNDER THE AGE OF 30?
I was wondering if there is an institute class for non-students under or over 30 that is taught by a CES professional?brbrI live in the POES, it would be nice if there was one that is fairly close by.
I just registered for 301-01 (Wed PM). From what I read, this class IS transferrable to the Church schools; am I correct in that assumption?
ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS
DO YOU HAVE TO BE UNDER THE AGE OF 30?
There is a class available for adults, 30+ on Wednesdays at 10:00 am, here at the institute. This year, Sister Keren Williams will be teaching the Old Testament. The class fee is $12.00 If you are a college student, you are invited to attend classes, regardless of age. For college students there is no fee. Hope that helps. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our office at 503-667-9606. Thanks

Sister Evans: There has been a class at the St Johns bldg, on Thursday evenings, 7pm. This term they will continue with Book of Mormon taught by Elder and Sister Kennedy. You can register for this class, here at our website, or just show up for class. All of our classes are for both student & non-student YSA's, ages 18-30 and are free. One more plus about institute classes...they can be used for 2 BYU elective credit hours...did I mention that they're free?! Just let your instructor know you would like BYU credit at the first class. You'll need to meet a few, small requirements for the credit, please see your instructor for details. Thanks for contacting us. Hope to see you at class!

Tatton: You are correct. You will receive 2 Church college credits for the Old Testament. You must let the instructor, Brother Gubelin know on your first day of class that you would like to receive BYU credit. There is a small amount of work to be done, i.e., keep a class journal, attend at least 70% of the classes and write a short report on the class at the end of the term, in order to earn BYU credit. But it is FREE credit (no class fee) and the requirements are minor. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks! Dorinda Yates
