ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS
How much do the courses cost at the institute?
There are no longer activity fees for Institute. Young single adults (18-30 yrs)and married and non-married college STUDENTS are invited to attend. Join us! Institute is for YOU!
How many people attend this institute?
We have about 100 students who attend class in the PSU Institute building. Others drop in for study and conversation at times. We are exploring ways to contact students at PSU and the Portland Community colleges to acquaint them with the Institute and its programs. Any suggestions in that regard will be greatly appreciated.
Where is the institute in relation to PSU?
Find us at the corner of 10th and Market,(1025 SW Market) across the street from the PSU campus, one steet over from the Park Blocks.
Is there a fireside every month for the young adults, and what times do they start. What are the times of the classes that are offered at the institute?
Check the CES fireside link. They are broadcast at 6PM MST but call us for local times and locations. You can find out what times the Institute classes start by going through the registration process on this web page. Call us if you have questions.
Can institute classes fulfill BYU religion credit?
You can get BYU transfer credit for Institute classes. As long as you let your class instructor know (at the beginning of the quarter) that you want to take their class for credit, and you meet those requirements, then you can get a letter grade that can be transferred to BYU, upon your request.
Is there a housing coordinator? I would like to move to Portland and I want and LDS roommate.
