| Most classes are taught two days a week. A two credit hour class would normally be held Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday so that they can dovetail with classes on campus. We also have Friday only classes and evening classes. The hourly schedule is the same as the University of Oregon campus which allows time to go to classes before or after Institute. Most two hour evening classes meet one night a week and continue for 80-90 minutes. Some one and two hour classes are also held at various times during the day. |

| What is the role of non-student young single adults at the Institute? |
| The First Presidency has stated on several occasions that “The First presidency has asked that all single young adults between the ages of 18 and 30 participate in an institute of religion program unless they are enrolled in a church school. This includes college students and those ...single young adults who have completed their education and are now in the work force. I urge each of you who will be attending other schools to seek out the institutes of religion and become part of this inspired program. Likewise; I urge each of you who are in the workforce to also participate in the institutes of religion. I promise you that if you do so, you will see immediate and long range blessings come into your life. I say again, one of the most important things you can do to stay faithful during your young adult years is to actively maintain your religious education by participating in an institute of religion program.“Henry B.
