What are the basic beliefs of your church?

Who may attend institute classes and activities?
Institute classes are intended for all single young adults, ages 18-30, as well as LDS college students. Non-members, young married student couples, and student spouses are also encouraged to attend.
How do I register for a class?
To register for a class use the "Register for Classes" link at the left, call the Institute at 865-524-2542, email us at knoxvilletn@ldsces.org, or drop by at 1604 Clinch Avenue.
How do I get a parking pass?
Parking passes are reserved for daytime students at the institute building. (Friday Forums do not count) Students must maintain 75% attendance to park in the lot. Passes will be distributed the first day of class.
Do I need a parking pass to use the lot in the evening?
No pass is needed to park in the lot for evening classes.
What are the requirements for graduation?
A Certificate of Achievement is awarded to students that have earned 8 credits in approved courses, with at least four in scripture-based courses (Book of Mormon, Old Testament, New Testament, D&C, POGP). A Graduation Diploma is awarded to students who have completed 14 credits, including at least 8 in the above listed courses and at least 4 in Book of Mormon. A Certificate of Advanced Achievement is awarded for each additional eight credits after meeting the graduation requirements. A worthiness clearance from the student's Bishop is also required for all certificates. If you would like to check your graduation status please contact the institute.
Is there a student Branch
Yes! The Knoxville YSA Branch meets at 1:30 at the West Hills building. All Young Single Adults in the greater Knoxville area are invited to attend. The website for the branch is https://secure.lds.org/units/home/0,9781,600-1-7-559776,00.html
