How much do Institute classes cost?
Institute classes do not cost anything! Come in and enjoy the classes and activities without any cost to you.
What classes and credits do I need to have to graduate from institute?
Institute Graduation.
Of the fourteen hours required for institute graduation, eight hours are now required in scripture-based courses of which four semester hours are required in Book of Mormon studies (covering the entire book).
The remaining six hours may be chosen from any of the other courses offered in any combination.
Scripture Classes are the following:
Book of Mormon; New Testament; Old Testament; Doctrine and Covenants; Peal of Great Price; Teachings of the Living Prophets; Doctrines of the Gospel.
Can we transfer institute credit and if so, how?
Institute credit can be transferred to any other institute by simply stopping by or calling the institute office (435-586-9906)with the following information: Your Name, birthday, and the institute you are transferring to.
How can I find out which ward I am in?
The best way to find out which ward you will be in is to stop by the institute office or call the office at 435-586-9906. Make sure you have your address ready when you call!
I am interested in becoming a Seminary Teacher. What are the requirements and qualifications?
The Church Educational System (CES) hires outstanding men and women who can influence the youth of the church to learn and live the gospel of Jesus Christ. Interested individuals should enroll in REL 370, "Introduction to Seminary Teaching" and REL 470, "Methods of Teaching Seminary." Those considered for full-time hire must have an accredited bachelors degree, and be a worthy, active church member with a current temple recommend. Contact Brother Mark Eastmond in the CES Area Office (Northeast Wing of the Institute) if you have any further questions.
How can I access my class schedule for next semester?
I am sorry but you will not be able to access your schedule. If you need to make a change please stop by the office. Cedar City Institute

You may register anytime at the institute.
