| What is LDSSA? |
| A Latter-day Saint Student Association is organized on the campuses adjacent to the institute. This is a registered student organization that allows us to request campus facilities, or be represented in various campus activities. All LDS college students are members of LDSSA. Emphasis is given to support LDSSA members in achieving and balancing their academic goals with a religious educational experience, encourage participation in campus community service projects, and to provide meaningful service, social, and religious activities that are consistent with LDSSA standards. Additionally, leaders are called by the priesthood, and supervised by the institute director or council advisor. |

| Can Institute credit be transferred to other schools? |
| Institute credit may be transferred to any institute of religion, or to a Church school under certain conditions. Some courses might be accepted by other universities and colleges. (Information must be obtained from the individual institutions.) Brigham Young University requires that a student must receive a letter grade to transfer credit to BYU. Therefore, the student must notify the institute instructor during the first three weeks of class and make known the intention to complete the course requirements for a letter grade. Fulfillment of the requirements must be completed during the time the student is taking the class. The requirements are determined by the instructor (i.e., assignments, tests, etc. on an academic level comparable to the same courses taught at the university).
