ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS
Who is invited to attend Institute?
Institute classes are intended for all single adults age 18-30 as well as LDS college students. Non-members, young married couples, and student spouses are also encouraged to attend.
When and where does the Singles Ward meet?
Please check the Calendar for locations and times of the local YSA wards/branches.
Can I park at the institute building?
Parking without a permit is available on Sundays and during institute classes. However, if you are a student at the University of Maryland and want to park at the institute building during the day, you must be a registered institute student with a valid parking sticker.
What's available at the institute building?
We have lots of fun stuff. There is a ping-pong table and a brand new pool table. We have a snack bar that is open during the week. There is a good sized Family History Center, and a small library. Come by during the day to challenge Brother Premont to a game of ping-pong, or simply eat lunch and run.
When is the Institute Building open?
There is someone here Monday thru Friday - usually from 10:00AM to 6:00PM.
How do I get to the Institute Building?
From the Capital Beltway (495) north of Washington DC, take exit 25 South - Route 1 / Baltimore Avenue. *It is exit 25B if you are driving east on the beltway*. Go south on Route 1 / Baltimore Avenue for about 3 miles. (You will go over 193 and pass the University of Maryland). Turn right on Guilford Road just past the Quality Inn. Go straight through 3 stop signs (at some point, "Guilford" becomes "Mowatt". You made it! The institute is on the left after the 3rd stop sign.
I'm moving to the area, what is the best way to find housing?
