| Is it possible for a cadet to serve a full-time mission and return to the Academy? |
| Yes! Most of our LDS cadets choose to serve full-time missions. The Academy allows them to leave for missions after the completion of their second year at the Academy. When they return from their missions, they re-apply and return to the Academy to take up where they left off. As would be expected, the returned missionary cadets have a lot of experience and maturity to add to the cadet wing and the Institute program. |

| I am planning on playing basketball for the academy the year of 2007-2008. Is the institute still up and running. I noticed the dates are from 2003 on the web site. I was so glad to see that maybe there is an institute. Thanks |
| Yes, Raimee, the USAFA has a large and active Institute program on campus. It is part of S.P.I.R.E. and meets Monday evenings in the Cadet Chapel Music Room at 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm. We are working at keeping our website current. Thank you for having patience with us. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate and I promise we will be better at answering you quickly. |

| I am currently enrolled in a Early College I am still a freashman and would like to enroll into the Air Force as a Fighter Pilot. What are the steps that I need to follow? |
| Hi Anthony,
The first step would be to visit the Air Force Academy website and see what steps you would need to apply to the Academy. Good luck! There is a very large LDS presence at the Academy and an active Institute program in place. |
