My son, David Garrett, plans on attending Duke in the Fall of 2009. Will any LDS Institute classes be offered at Duke or in Durham? (versus Chapel Hill)brWhich classes may be offered?
ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS
How many singles wards do you have in the Durham area and where are they located?
There is one single's ward that meets at the Institute of Religion building in Chapel Hill. It is in the Durham Stake and serves those living in Chapel Hill, Durham and surrounding areas. There is also a single's ward in Raleigh, about 40 minutes east of Chapel Hill.
How many members of the ward attend Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC)?
We have a good mix of undergraduate and graduate students from both UNC and Duke. There are also several working professionals in the ward.
How many singles are a part of the ward?
There are currently about 150 singles in the Durham Third Ward.
What time does Sacrament Meeting start?
Our meetings begin at 10 and run until 1, with Sacrament Meeting first.
What are the classes that everyone must take for their first 2 years?
There are no required classes for the first two years. Come and enjoy any class you would like to attend!
How can I find housing in the area?
If you would like to find housing with other members of the institute, please contact Brother Nichols, or call the institute, and they will add you to our e-mail listserve. From there, you are welcome to e-mail the listserve about housing.
How maky members attend Elon?

To do this you must write to the Director of Admissions at UNC. Please visit the admitted FAQ section of the UNC website for more information.
