| How do I receive credit for a course? |
| You receive credit for a course by attending 75% of classes held for each semester for that course |

| How much credit do I need to graduate? |
| A "Course Completion Certificate" is given for completing a one term (semester) institute course (2 hours per week for about 14 weeks) and equals 2 credit hours.
A Two Year "Certificate of Achievement" requires 8 credit hours (usually 4 terms of institute credit) and a worthiness clearance from your bishop or branch president.
To graduate from institute,and be awarded a "Graduation Diploma", students must complete 14 semester hours (usually 7 terms of Institute) in approved institute courses and receive a worthiness clearance from their bishop or branch president. The 14 semester hours must include at least 8 semester hours (or 4 terms' credit) in scripture-based courses. At least 4 of these semester hours (or 2 terms) must be in Book of Mormon studies.
The "Advanced Certificate of Achievement" requires an additional 8 credits giving a total of 22 credits

| How old should I be to attend institute? |
| Institute is designed for students and young adults in the 18 to 30 age group. However if you have completed your final year of seminary but are still 17 years old, you can start attending institute. |

| Can married people attend institute? |
| Yes, they can attend provided they are in the 18-30 year age group.
Also married students older than 30 years of age can attend campus institute classes held at various universities in Sydney. As a general rule such older married students would not attend evening institute classes held in chapels. |
