| How do I receive credit for a course? |
| You receive credit for a course by attending 75% of classes held for each semester for that course |

| How much credit do I need to graduate? |
| A "Course Completion Certificate" is given for completing a one term (semester) institute course (2 hours per week for about 14 weeks) and equals 2 credit hours.
A Two Year "Certificate of Achievement" requires 8 credit hours (usually 4 terms of institute credit) and a worthiness clearance from your bishop or branch president.
To graduate from institute,and be awarded a "Graduation Diploma", students must complete 14 semester hours (usually 7 terms of Institute) in approved institute courses and receive a worthiness clearance from their bishop or branch president. The 14 semester hours must include at least 8 semester hours (or 4 terms' credit) in scripture-based courses. At least 4 of these semester hours (or 2 terms) must be in Book of Mormon studies.
The "Advanced Certificate of Achievement" requires an additional 8 credits giving a total of 22 credits
