Welcome to the Berkeley Institute! Congratulations to any High School Seniors newly admitted to Cal. If you are even considering coming to Cal please contact us. We would love to answer your questions (and possibly concerns) about being an LDS student at Berkeley. The institute here may only have about 45-50 people, but we are a close knit group that spends a lot of time together and has a lot of fun. We spend our time playing pool and games at the institute, visiting San Fransisco, going salsa dancing, playing basketball, hanging out, and of course studying. This is a great place to get both an academic and spiritual education. There are several institute classes offered every semester and several free meals provided every week. It really is great to be LDS at Cal! If you will be visiting we offer personal student guided tours of campus and the Institue. So please call if you would like a tour or have questions. We will also have a booth and some special activities and tours on Cal Day, Saturday April 12th.

Current students stop by and register for classes and pick up your free parking permit from Sister Hansen. Study in one of the many rooms located throughout the building or lounge upstairs on the balcony and enjoy the amazing view of the San Francisco Bay. Cook a meal in the kitchen, play a round of pool, or shoot a few hoops in the gym when you need a break from your studies.
