Parking Information
How to qualify and be able to park at the Tempe Institute: 1. Make sure you register on-line for the classes you want, on the days you want to park. In person registration is currently available. Please note, night classes do not count toward daytime parking. 2. Come to the institute building in person and pick up your parking pass. Students must attend a class on the days they want to park, except Friday, everyone gets to park on Friday. Every eligible student may receive a parking pass so the Tempe Institute can not guarantee a spot to park every day, just a chance at a spot.
Institute Housing Requests
Housing requests are done by email only. We have a list of housing needs posted by students. Please email us to post or to have us send you a copy of the postings at tempeaz@ldsces.org When posting housing with us please include the following information: male, female or married housing, your name, phone, email address (optional), location of apartment or house (city & cross roads), rent amount and a brief discription.
Housing, ASU Healthy Living Dorm
ASU has a "Healthy Living" dorm for students that want to live in a healthy invironment, no smoking or drinking, keep reasonable hours etc. It is open to all denominations. For more information, see ASU's website www.asu.edu/reslife, healthy living or Hassayampa.
No Fees for Institute
Great News! Their will be no activity fees for students between the ages of 18-30.
Transcript requests
Requests for transcripts can be made by emailing the Tempe Institute at tempeaz@ldsces.org. The address of the church university or institute must be included in the email.
Institute Credit and Transfer Credit
Institute credit will be awarded to any student who maintains 75% attendance and completes all course work. To be able to receive credit to BYU a declaration of intent must be made within the first three weeks of class and extra work and a final exam must be completed.
Graduation
Institute graduation is held once a year at the end of the spring term. Students may receive a Certificate of Advancement, a Diploma, or a Certificate of Advanced Achievement. Each requires both halves of the Book of Mormon to qualify. For a further list of requirements for each certificate or diploma, please contact the Tempe Institute.
