Institute student organizations have been authorized by the Church Board of Education to provide social, spiritual, cultural, and leadership opportunities for institute students.

The IRSC is the Institute of Religion Student Council. All activities for institute students are correlated under the IRSC umbrella. Leaders from the institute student organizations of LDSSA, IMA, and IWA, as well as stake and ward Young Single Adult representatives, constitute the IRSC. The council meets frequently to plan, correlate, and carry out a wide variety of activities and projects.

How Do I Get Involved?
If you would like to join a committee, you can register for the committee of your choice at the Institute office. Descriptions of the committees at the Ogden Institute are listed below. If you have additional questions, please call or inquire at the Institute office.
Campus Relations Committee
Chair: BriAnne Hutchins-The Campus Relations Committee serves as a liason to WSU student government coordinating and encouraging mutual support of Institute and WSU activities. Campus Relations also sponsors Institute athletic activities.
Choralaires Committee
Chair: David Nelson - Choralaires is an auditioned choir that performs both sacred and secular music. They sing at sacrament services, devotionals, morningsides, firesides and Institute graduation. Choralaires perform with Chorale in variety shows and firesides throughout the year.
Chorale Committee
Chair: Ken Romney - Choral Music consists of two unauditioned choirs--a daytime chorale and an evening chorus. These groups help promote Institute participation by performing inspirational, sacred and uplifting secular music in various Institute, Church and community settings.
Evening Programs Committee
Chair: Kaci Crane - The Evening Programs Committee develops, plans and carries out activity programs (linger longers, movies, service, socials, sports) for all students and young adults (ages 18-30) enrolled in evening Institute classes.
Folk Dance Committee
Chair: David Clark - The auditioned Folk Dance Team promotes Institute participation by performing high-quality, entertaining dances in various Institute, Church and community programs.
Good Times Committee
Chair: Dolly Buck - The Good Times Committee sponsors regular wholesome and enjoyable Friday Activity Nights where students and young adults can develop their social skills and have a great time.
Gospel in Action
Chair: Casey Adkins - The Gospel in Action Committee organizes Institute students for provide service to the Institute, campus and community. The committee also creates beautiful and inspiring displays within the Institute.
Lunch Committee
Chair: Hilary Hilton - The Lunch Committee invites students to attend Institute by providing activities, lunches and service opportunities each Thursday.
Marrieds Committe
Chair: Jeff and Autumn Fowers - The Marrieds program invites young adult married and engaged couples to participate in Institute classes, seminars, and activities designated for married and engaged couples.
Outreach Committee
Chair: Shane Woody - The Publicity Committee invites young adults to attend Institute classes by publicizing programs and activities in the following ways: marquee, classroom announcements, the hotline, posters, fliers, videos, etc.
Welcome to Institute Committee
Chair: Heather Olsen - The Welcome to Institute Committee sponsors activities to welcome all students to the Institute and encourages potential students, international students, returned missionaries and young adults to participate in Institute programs and activities.
