I would like to express the deepest feelings I have in my heart regarding the testimony I have of the Prophet Joseph Smith as a prophet of God. He has been an example in my life. The teachings he brought, that he restored in these latter days—they have brought me great hope for a better life. And the knowledge that God lives and that Jesus is the Christ, our Savior, our Redeemer—this is truly priceless knowledge! The Prophet Joseph restored this knowledge in our day through the vision he had of our Heavenly Father, our God, and of our beloved brother, His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. As I listen to the testimony of the Prophet Joseph that he saw God and that he spoke with Him and Jesus Christ, that They are sublime beings, celestial beings, resurrected beings with bodies—this knowledge fills my soul with joy and because of this I can teach my children, my posterity, my grandchildren, that we have a God, we have a Father who loves us. His love is so great that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to the earth to atone for our sins. To me this knowledge is priceless. This knowledge leaves me humble and at the same time full of joy and happiness to know that we have a Heavenly Father, and that we have a brother, Jesus Christ, who saved us. All of this we owe to the scriptures and to the knowledge that the Prophet Joseph Smith brought to us here on the earth. To those of you who are listening to my voice, regardless of whether you are in Brazil or Portugal or the countries of Africa, I want to say to you that I am happy. I have a family that I love. And the knowledge that Joseph Smith restored in these latter-days is a knowledge that applies to families. It makes me become a better man, it allows me to teach my children to be good citizens of this world, and through it our family can better relate in the world in which we live.
