I believe in all
that Joseph Smith has said and that God the Father and Jesus
Christ spoke to him, and all that they said [to do] Joseph
Smith has done. Even when he didn't have much understanding
yet, God taught him. I believe all of this. I know that our
Heavenly Father lives and so does His Son. He is here with
us. He hears us. He sees us. All that we want, He gives us,
and He helps us. I believe in all that Joseph Smith has
said. I know that God and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph
Smith. Yes, I pray to God about the teachings of Joseph
Smith, and when I am sick or not well, He helps me, He heals
me, and He teaches me to do what is right. I believe that
God lives; He is in my heart. He guides me by the
Spirit along the correct path. Such has been my life up till
now. Yes, I want everyone to know about these things. This
is how I have come to know Joseph Smith and I have learned
about all the good he has done. I had been reading the
Bible, and while I was out [one day] I came across the Book
of Mormon. I bought it and read it every night. It was very
good. So I went to The Church of Jesus Christ [of Latter-day
Saints] and when I went the bishop received me and taught me
and when I understood well I was baptized.
