Scholarships
Brigham Young University Idaho
Funding Goal:   $7.6 million

What It Is
Scholarships at BYU—Idaho are awarded to students based upon criteria established by the administration, which encourages not only previous scholastic accomplishment, but also well-roundedness and potential leadership skills. Guidelines have been carefully set to avoid elitism and recognize the many strengths of potential students.

Why It Is a Priority
Though tuition at BYU—Idaho is considerably less than elsewhere, it is discouraging for incoming students to learn that only a few academic awards are available. This is an especially pivotal concern for the most academically prepared applicants, as they are often willing to turn down full-ride scholarships at "prestigious" schools for even minimal financial benefits at BYU—Idaho.

Having sufficient resources enables the administration to offer scholarships to more students than just those with the highest GPA or ACT score. In the end, it provides a more diversified student body.

What It Does and How It Helps
Your gift toward scholarships is a matter of great importance and urgency at BYU—Idaho. It will enable the university to continue to be a literal “light on the hill” to some of the most qualified and worthy students from our neighborhoods and communities. Your gift will allow them to seek the values-based education they desire without having to settle for something less elsewhere.

We invite you to become a partner with BYU—Idaho in making these scholarship awards a reality in our students’ lives. Lives will be changed. And through the young people you assist, you will be helping to shape the future of the world.
