Annual Fund Support Eases the Way for Navajo Student
Although every BYU student can be involved with a ward family, many need the additional friendship offered by associations, clubs, teams, and groups.
Tacey Atsitty did.
"I come from a border town of the Navajo reservation. Due to a lack of opportunities to further my education there, I decided to attend BYU. My freshman year I was alone and lost for the first part. A support group that helped me ease the transition was the Tribe of Many Feathers (TMF). This organization is run by Native American students on campus.
"I am currently serving as the president of TMF. From this experience I have learned to love my people more and more. I come from a rich heritage and a beautiful people. I plan to return to the reservation and serve my people. Thank you for your generosity."
Your gift to the BYU Annual Fund will help make it possible to continue support of service-oriented student organizations.
