Annual Giving
The success of the annual giving program at LDS Business College depends on
regular gifts from many different individuals. Gifts of all sizes are welcome.
Annual giving helps students continue their education while improving the quality
of that education. It also creates an important, ongoing partnership, between
you and our school, to bless future generations.
Through annual giving you have an opportunity to financially help:
· Cover unbudgeted, but meaningful contingencies.
· Create additional, ever-important scholarships and grants-in-aid.
· Accelerate the realization of board-approved goals and priorities.

Your association with LDS Business College makes you a part of wonderful group
of valued alumni, friends, and supporters who are literally helping change the
lives of an ever-increasing number of students each year.
We hope that an important, ongoing partnership will also develop between you
and the College, blessing future generations with the opportunity to gain the
kind of education unique to LDS Business College.
Gifts Come in Different Packages
A gift to LDS Business College does not need to be large to make a big difference
in the lives of the students who attend. To make the most of your donation,
you should consider the following types of gifts:
Unrestricted Gift
An unrestricted gift places your confidence in the president and the Board of
Trustees to use the money where the need is presently greatest. It puts vital
tools in their hands to take advantage of critical opportunities in a timely
manner.
Restricted Gift
A restricted gift is one you designate for a specific LDS Business College program
or goal, allowing you to support an area of particular interest to you.
Outright Gift
Outright gifts include cash, real estate, and negotiable securities. Many
peopleeven those of modest meansfind they can give in this way. It is the
most common, direct, and simple type of gift. To make an outright gift of cash
or by credit or debit card, click here.
Endowed Gift
An endowed gift establishes a more permanent and perpetual funding source because
only a
percentage of the original gift amount (usually the interest earned) is used
each year. It is established for a program of your choice and can be named for
a loved one whose memory you wish to perpetuate.
Deferred or Planned Gifts
Deferred or planned gifts come in several different forms, all of which not
only provide long-term benefits for students, but for the benefactor as well.
In addition to the personal blessings that may come to you as a result of your
selfless generosity, substantial temporal benefits are also possible. With most,
you will receive a lifetime income and significant tax advantages.
The additional benefits could be significant and might allow you to:
· Put your financial house in order.
· Turn your non-income producing holdings into income-producing assets.
· Increase your disposable income.
· Have your assets managed by a professional trustee.
· Secure financial peace of mind for spouse and family.
· Ensure that your estate is settled the way you choose.
· Guide the use of your assets after death.
· Reduce gift and estate taxes for your spouse and children.
There are Different Ways to Share
Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
Electronic funds transfer (EFT) allows you to authorize your bank to automatically
transfer a specified amount from your checking account to LDS Business College
on a monthly basis. Gifts of $10, $25, $50, $100 (or whatever you choose) may
be easier on your monthly budget than one, large sum, but your commitment adds up
considerably over time. To make a gift by electronic funds transfer, click here.
Matching Gifts
Through matching gifts, you may be able to double or even triple your gift to
LDS Business College with a simple call. Thousands of employers in the United
States have established matching gift programs for employees making gifts to
institutions of higher education. In some instances, employee gifts are doubled
and even tripled.
To learn if your company has a matching gift program and to find out how you
can participate at no additional cost to you, see or call your personnel, human
resources, or community relations office. If your employer does participate,
they can give you the appropriate form. Simply complete the form and send it
along with your gift.
