New patrons register and receive a short tour: a librarian points out such tools as the International Genealogical Index (IGI), the Genealogy Library Catalog (GLC), the Family Registry, the Accelerated Indexing System (AIS) microfiche data base, and various books on and records of local history.

These teens from the Flagstaff Arizona Stake completed Personal Progress projects, earned Genealogy merit badges, and helped compile an Internet database, but most of all, they learned just how much fun it can be to get involved in family history work.

20. News of the Church

Providing Relief After Hurricane Ike stormed through the southern United States in 2008, work crews were organized to help with cleanup. The Cedar Rapids Iowa Stake set up a relief warehouse filled with the wheelbarrows, shovels, and work clothes the Church sent.
