Paul was a Pharisee. He watched the people kill Stephen. One day Paul was going to a city named Damascus. He was with some friends. They were going to put more Saints in prison.

Suddenly a bright light came down from heaven. The light was all around Paul. He fell to the ground. He heard the voice of Jesus from heaven. Jesus asked why Paul was trying to hurt the Saints. Paul was afraid. He asked Jesus what to do. Jesus told him to go to the city. Paul would be told what to do.

Paul got up. He opened his eyes, but he could not see. He was blind. His friends took him into Damascus.

A disciple named Ananias lived in Damascus. He had a vision. In the vision Jesus told Ananias to go to Paul.

Ananias had the priesthood. He put his hands on Paul’s head and healed him. Paul could see. Then Ananias baptized Paul and gave him the Holy Ghost.

Paul became a missionary for the Church. He wrote many letters. He went to many lands and taught the gospel. When some of the other Apostles were killed, Paul was chosen to be an Apostle.
