There were some wise men who lived in another land. They knew what the prophets said about the birth of Jesus. They saw a new star in the sky. The star meant that Jesus was born.

The wise men knew Jesus would be king. They went to see King Herod in Jerusalem. They asked King Herod where the new king was. Herod told the wise men to go to Bethlehem. They would find Jesus there.

The wise men went to Bethlehem. They saw Jesus and Mary. The wise men were very happy. They knelt down and worshiped Jesus. They gave him gifts. Then they went home.
