One day Peter and John saw a man by the door of the temple. He could not walk. His friends had to carry him everywhere he went. Every day he sat by the temple doors. He asked people for money.

Acts 3:1–2

Peter and John walked over to the man. He asked them for some money. Peter said he did not have any money. He said he would give the man something else.

Peter blessed the man. He told the man to stand up and walk. Peter healed him in the name of Jesus Christ. Peter helped the man stand up.

The man began to walk. He walked for the first time in his life. Many people saw the man walking and jumping. They knew it was a miracle. They knew Peter had the power of God. Peter told them Jesus Christ gave him the power to heal the man. Peter helped many people believe in Jesus Christ. Peter was a great missionary.
