Paul went to the temple in Jerusalem. He took some people who were not Jews into the temple. The Jews were angry. They took Paul out of the temple and whipped him.

Some Roman soldiers took Paul away from the Jews. Paul asked if he could talk to the Jews. He said he was a missionary teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. He said he had seen a light from heaven. He had heard the voice of Jesus.

The Jews did not believe Paul. They shouted at him. They wanted to kill him. The soldiers put Paul in prison for the night.

That night Jesus came to Paul. He told Paul not to be afraid. Jesus said Paul would go to Rome. Paul would teach the gospel in Rome.

The Jews wanted the Romans to kill Paul. So they sent him to King Agrippa. Agrippa was a Roman king. Agrippa asked what Paul had done. Paul said he had been a Pharisee. He had hated the people who believed in Jesus. He had put them in prison. One day he saw a light from heaven. He heard the voice of Jesus. Then he believed in Jesus.

Paul said Jesus had told him to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Jews hated Paul because he taught about Jesus. Paul told Agrippa the gospel was true. Paul said Jesus was resurrected.

King Agrippa said he almost believed in Jesus because of what Paul said. Paul wanted King Agrippa and all people to believe in Jesus. That was why Paul was a missionary. King Agrippa did not think Paul should be killed. He sent Paul to Rome.

Paul was in prison in Rome for two years. Many people came to see Paul. He taught them the gospel. He wrote letters to the Saints in other lands. Many of these letters are in the New Testament.

Paul knew he would be killed. But he was not afraid. He had obeyed God’s commandments. He had taught the gospel. He had finished his mission. He knew Heavenly Father loved him. He knew he would live with Heavenly Father and Jesus after he died. Later Paul was killed.
