Some people went to the Pharisees. They told the Pharisees Jesus had brought Lazarus back to life. The Pharisees thought everyone would believe in Jesus. They thought no one would listen to them anymore.

The Pharisees wanted Jesus to die. They planned a way to kill Jesus. They thought Jesus would come to Jerusalem for the Passover dinner. They waited for him.

Jesus came from Bethany to Jerusalem. Many people heard he was coming. They went out to meet him. Jesus was riding a young donkey. A prophet had written that the Son of God would ride a young donkey into Jerusalem. Many people believed in Jesus. The people knew Jesus was the Son of God. They had seen his miracles. They put their clothes on the ground for the donkey to walk on. They waved palm leaves in the air. They said Jesus was the Savior.

All the people in Jerusalem came to see what was happening. They asked who Jesus was. The disciples said he was a prophet from Nazareth.

The Pharisees saw Jesus. They were angry because many people believed him. Jesus knew the Pharisees wanted to kill him.

Jesus told his disciples he would soon die. He knew he would suffer for the sins of all people. He knew he would die on the cross. He would be the Savior of the world. This was why he came to earth.
