BYU Professor Awarded for Communication Education

Ralph Barney, professor emeritus of the BYU Department of Communications, received a Distinguished Service Award from the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication. Barney was awarded this honor based on his significant contributions to journalism and mass communication education. "It's a gratifying recognition of the work I've done," Barney said. Barney, founding co-editor of the Journal of Mass Media Ethics, has spent most of his educational career teaching about ethics.
