Bishop's Storehouse Creates Valuable Service
December 2, 2000 — Church in the News
Members of the LDS Church, other charitable groups, and families of all faiths work together to can food and then store it for themselves and other needy people at the LDS Bishop's Storehouse in Denver. The Bishop's Storehouse, one of 15 run by the LDS Church, was dedicated in 1983. "In this small, austere factory run by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the ancient art of canning makes it possible for more than a dozen charitable groups and thousands of Colorado families of all faiths to put food away for themselves and for those they help."
