Jesus was in a house. Many people were with him. He was teaching them the gospel.

Four men came to see Jesus. They were carrying a friend on a bed. The friend was very sick. He could not walk. The men wanted to take him to Jesus. But they could not get in the house. There were too many people.

The four men took the sick man up on the roof. They made a hole in the roof. They let the man down through the roof. They laid him in front of Jesus.

Jesus knew that the men had great faith. He told the sick man to pick up the bed and go home. The man stood up. He was healed. He picked up his bed and walked home. He knew that Jesus healed him.
