Downtown Salt Lake City Redevelopment Plans Announced

Over the next five years, a premier retail, office and residential development will rise in the heart of Salt Lake City, as part of the Church's ongoing effort to revitalize the downtown area.

A conceptual design plan for the project was presented to the Salt Lake City Council Tuesday by Bishop H. David Burton, presiding bishop of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The Church first announced three years ago it was planning to redevelop the area to energize the economy of the city that houses its headquarters and to bolster the area near Temple Square.

For more information on the downtown revitalization, please see articles from the Church newsroom, and the Deseret Morning News.
