Hispanic Devotional to Celebrate Church Milestones

The Church will commemorate the 175th anniversary of the organization of the Church and the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Prophet Joseph Smith at a special Hispanic devotional. The meeting will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, in the Conference Center Auditorium in Salt Lake City. The entire Hispanic community along the Wasatch Front and all others interested in an inspirational program are invited to attend. The meeting will not be broadcast.

The program will focus on the life and mission of the Prophet Joseph Smith along with a look at the expansion and growth of the Church in Latin America. Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and Elder Shirley D. Christensen of the Seventy will speak. A 365-voice youth choir will also share songs about the Restoration.

Free tickets are required for admittance. Only a limited supply is left. To obtain tickets, visit the Conference Center ticket office (door 4), call the ticket office at 1–800–240–0080, or reserve tickets at http://www.lds.org/events/info/0,8197,726-1-552,00.html. There is a limit of 10 tickets per person. The program will be in Spanish with a small number of headsets for English and Portuguese interpretation.
