Ko ia ai te tau laka atu ki muʻa ʻi he tuí—pea ko e tuí ʻa e kaveinga ʻoku ou fie lea ai he pongipongi ní.”2

Naʻe fakahoko ʻa ʻene pōpoakí ʻi he taimi totonu pea ʻi he ueʻi ʻa e Laumālié. Naʻe fakahoko mai ia ko ha fakamanatu fakalaumālie ʻo e taumuʻa ʻo e moʻuí pea mo e founga ʻe lava ke ikunaʻi ai ʻe he fānau ʻa e Tamai Hēvaní ʻa e faingataʻa kotoa pē. Poto Fakaēmamaní

ʻOku tokoni lahi ʻa e ako ki he ngaahi meʻa fakamāmaní ke toe lelei ange ai ʻa e māmani ʻoku tau moʻui aí. ʻOku tupulaki lelei taha ʻa e tuʻunga ʻo e ako ki he ngaahi meʻa fakamāmaní ʻi ha ʻātakai ʻo e angamāʻoniʻoni, ʻo e moʻui angamaʻa, moʻoni fakalaumālié pea mo e tuí.

ʻOku lahi hono fakalāngilangiʻi ʻo e ngaahi sosaietí he ʻahó ni koeʻuhí ko honau tuʻunga poto fakaemāmaní. ʻOku pōlepole ʻa e kakaí mo e ngaahi puleʻangá ʻi honau poto fakaemāmaní, ʻi he tuku ʻenau tokangá ki he “ngaahi meʻa ʻo e māmaní pe [ʻi he] ngaahi meʻa ʻoku ʻikai lau ko e meʻa fakalotu, fakalaumālie, pe toputapú.”3

ʻOku pehē tokua ʻe he konga lahi ʻo māmani he ngaahi ʻahó ni ʻoku mahuʻinga ʻa e poto fakaemāmaní ki he potupotutatau, ki he fakamaau totonu, pea mo e maau ʻa ha puleʻanga. ʻI heʻene peheé, ʻoku ʻikai ke nau poupouʻi hono fakahā ʻo e tui fakalotú ʻi he ngaahi fakatahaʻanga fakapuleʻangá, ʻoku fakafalala leva ʻa e ngaahi totonu fakapuleʻangá ki he ngaahi fakamāuʻangá mo e ngaahi founga fakalaó, pea vave pē ke fekumi ʻa e kakai tangatá mo e kakai fefiné ki he ngaahi founga fakalaó ke fakaleleiʻi mo fakatonutonu ʻaki ʻenau ngaahi palopalemá. Pea ʻi heʻene tōtuʻa ʻa e taʻe lotú ʻi he nofo fakasosaietí, ʻoku ʻikai ke nau fakatokangaʻi ʻe kinautolu ʻa e foʻi fakakaukau ko ia kau ki he moʻui taʻengatá ʻo nau fokotuʻutuʻu ʻa e meʻa kotoa pē ʻo fakatatau ki hono tuʻunga ʻi he māmaní, ʻo iku ai ki heʻenau ngāue taʻe ʻi ai ha tui.

ʻOku fie maʻu ke ʻi ai ʻa e tokanga mo ha ngāue lahi ke tau hoko ai ko ha kau tangata mo ha kau fefine ʻo e tuí ʻi ha māmani taʻe lotu. Ko e natula pē ia ʻo e tangatá ke ne “ʻuluaki kātaki, hili ko ia pea manavaʻofa, pea tali ”4 ʻi he taimi kuo lomēkina ai ʻe he ngaahi meʻa ʻo māmaní. Ko e ola ʻo e taʻe lotú ʻokú ne lomēkina ʻa e kakai ʻo e ʻaho ní.

ʻI he taʻe tui ʻa e māmani taʻe lotu pe anga fakakakano ko ʻení ko Kalaisi ʻa e Huhuʻi ʻo e faʻahinga ʻo e tangatá, ʻoku tupu mei ai ha kau tangata mo ha kau fefine “loto pōlepole, siokita, fakavahavahaʻa, fakafepaki, taʻe toe fakafalala ki ha taha, ʻo tataki pē kinautolu ʻe heʻenau ngaahi holí, ʻe honau uʻá [pea] mo e fakahīkihiki ʻa e māmaní . . . .ʻI hono fakakātoá, ko e tangata fakaekakanó ko ha tangata ia kuo teʻeki ai huhuʻi, ko ha tangata ʻoku ʻeveʻeva . . . ʻi he maama ʻo [ʻene] afi [ʻaʻaná] . . . [vakai, 2 Nīfai 7:10–11]. Kuo anga ʻa e tangata peheé ki he natula ʻo e ngaahi meʻa ʻoku ʻātakaiʻi iá, ʻo ne fakaongoongo ai ki he ngaahi meʻa ʻoku ʻoatu ʻe ha māmani kuo ʻi ha tuʻunga ʻo e hingá.”5 ʻOku fakamatalaʻi mahino ia ʻi ha ngaahi lea siʻi pē, “Ko e kakai ʻoku nau ʻi ha tuʻunga fakanatulá . . . ʻoku ʻikai te nau maʻu ʻa e ʻOtua ʻi māmani” (ʻAlamā 41:11).

Koeʻuhí ʻoku ʻikai faʻa tokangaʻi ʻa e ngaahi meʻa ʻo e taʻengatá ʻe he tuʻunga ʻo e poto fakaemāmaní, ʻe lava pē ke iku ai ki he taʻe tuí. Naʻe pehē ʻe ha palōfesa ʻo e ngaahi meʻa fakalotú ko Ulufihaati Panenipeeki ʻo e ʻUnivēsiti ʻo Miunikí:

“ʻOku hanga ʻe he ʻātakai ʻo e poto fakaemāmaní ʻo fakavaivaiʻi mo holoki ʻa e tui mālohi ʻa e kakai Kalisitiané ki he moʻoni ʻoku nau tui ki aí. . . .

“ʻOku aʻu ki he ngaahi ʻilo tefito ʻo e lotu faka-Kalisitiane ʻoku holoki māmālie ia ʻi he ʻātakai ʻo e poto fakaemāmaní. ʻOku ʻikai ke kei hoko ia ko hano taʻe tali pē ʻo e ngaahi akonaki faka-Kalisitiané; ʻoku tokolahi fau ha kakai ʻoku ʻikai haʻanau ʻilo ʻe taha ki he ngaahi akonaki ko iá. . . .Ko e lahi ange ʻene mafola ʻa e taʻe ʻilo ki he tui faka-Kalisitiané, ko e lahi ange ai pē ia ʻa e fakafepaki ki he tui faka-Kalisitiané. . . .

“. . . ʻOku fakautuutu ange ʻa e faingataʻá ʻi he faʻahinga tui ko ia ʻoku pehē ko e moʻoní ʻoku ʻikai ke tuʻu maʻu ka ʻoku fakatatau pē ia ki he taimí mo e feituʻu. . . . ʻI he maʻu ʻa e tokolahi . . . ko e ngaahi tokāteline faka-Kalaisitiané ko ha ngaahi fakakaukau pē ia, ʻa ia ʻoku malava ke fakamoʻoniʻi pe ʻikai, ʻo fakatatau pē ki he ngaahi fie maʻu fakafoʻituituí. . . .

“. . . ʻOku hanga ʻe he fokotuʻutuʻu ʻa e poto fakaemāmaní ʻo ʻomai ha faʻahinga ongo ʻoku taʻe ʻuhinga ki he moʻuí.“6

ʻOku fetongi ʻaki ʻa e tui kia Kalaisí ʻa e tui ki he tangatá. ʻOku ʻikai ke ngata pē hono ʻikai ke aleaʻi ʻi he malangá mo e ngaahi fakakaukau fakafoʻituituí ʻa e ngaahi fehuʻi ko ia ʻo hangē pe ko ʻetau haʻú mei fē, pe ʻoku tau ʻalu ki fē ʻi he hili ʻa e moʻuí ni, pe ko e ha koā ʻokú ne puleʻi ʻa e ngaahi meʻa ʻoku hoko ʻi he moʻui ʻi he māmaní, ka kuo pehē ʻoku ʻikai hano ʻaonga. Kuo hoko ʻa e kalasi taʻe tui pehení ko ha meʻa fakatuʻutāmaki fakaʻulia.

Naʻe ʻosi ʻafioʻi ʻe he Tamai Hēvaní ʻe hoko ʻeni. Naʻe hanga ʻe hono Toe Fakafoki Mai ʻo e ongoongoleleí ʻo tafunaki ʻa e tui kia Sīsū Kalaisí ko e Tupuʻangá, ko e Fakamoʻui, pea mo e Huhuʻí. Naʻá ne toe fakafoki mai ʻa e mahino totonu fekauʻaki mo e ngaahi taumuʻa ʻo e moʻuí. Naʻe fakahā ʻeni ki he fānau ʻa e Tamai Hēvaní ʻi he 1831:

“Ko ia, ko au ko e ʻEikí, ʻi heʻeku ʻiloʻi ʻa e fakatuʻutāmaki ʻa ia ʻe hoko mai ki he kakai ʻo e māmaní, naʻá ku ui ai ki heʻeku tamaioʻeiki ko Siosefa Sāmita, ko e Siʻí, peá u lea kiate ia mei langi, ʻo u fai kiate ia ʻa e ngaahi fekau; . . .

“Koeʻuhí foki ke lava ʻa e tuí ʻo tupulaki ʻi he māmani” (T&F 1:17, 21).

Ki muʻa pea fakatoka ʻa e tuʻunga ʻo e māmaní, ki muʻa pea fokotuʻutuʻu ʻa e ngaahi meʻa ʻo e ʻataá, naʻe nofo ʻa e tangatá mo e fefiné pea nau ngaungaue mo nau moʻui (vakai, Ngāue 17:28). ʻOku hanga ʻe he foʻi fakakaukau ko ia ʻo e poto fakaemāmaní ko ia ʻoku pehē ko e moʻuí naʻe tupu pē ʻiate ia, ʻo fakaʻikaiʻi ʻa e tefitoʻi moʻoni ko ia ʻoku ʻi he laumālie moʻui kotoa pē, ʻa ia ʻoku pehē “Naʻe ʻi he kamataʻangá foki ʻa e tangatá mo e ʻOtuá.” (T&F 93:29; ko e tānaki atu hono fakamamafaʻí). He ʻikai lava ke liliu mo fakaʻikaiʻi ʻa e moʻoni ko ʻení.

Naʻe hoko mai ai ʻa ʻĪteni ʻi hono tuʻunga faka-Palataisí mo ʻetau ʻuluaki ongo mātuʻá, ʻa ʻĀtama mo ʻIvi, koeʻuhí ke lava ʻe he tangatá, ʻi heʻene aʻusia ʻa e ngaahi meʻa ʻo e moʻui matelié mo e Huhuʻi ʻa Kalaisí, ʻo hoko ko ha tokotaha kuo kakato ʻene tupulakí pea kuo fakahaohaoaʻi. Naʻe fokotuʻu ʻe he kuonga ʻo e kau pēteliaké, ʻe he hāʻele mai ʻa hotau Fakamoʻuí mei he langí pea mo ʻEne Fakalelei taʻe hano tatau ʻi he vahevaheʻanga ʻo taimí, pea mo e “kuonga ʻo e liliu ʻo e meʻa kotoa peé” (Ngāue 3:21), ʻa ia naʻe kamata ʻi he 1820, ʻa e tuʻunga ʻa ia ʻe toe lava ai ke puleʻi pē ʻe he kakai tangata mo fefine, fānau tangata mo fefine, ʻa ʻenau moʻuí mo honau ngaahi ʻātakaí ʻaki ʻenau “tui ki he ʻEiki ko Sīsū Kalaisí.” (Tefito ʻo e Tui 1:4).

Siʻoku ngaahi kaumeʻa ʻofeina kei talavou, ʻoku mou ʻi he fetaulakiʻanga ʻo e ngaahi meʻa ko ʻeni ʻoku hoko ʻi he māmaní. “Ko e meʻa kuo hilí ko ha talateu pē ia, pea ko e ngaahi meʻa kuo ʻi aí ʻe hoko mai ia.”7 Ko e meʻa ʻe malava ke hokó, ʻa e meʻa kuo pau ke hokó, ko hono fakatuaiʻi ʻe hoʻo tuí fakataha mo hoʻo ngaahi ngāué ʻa e fakaʻau ke toe lahi ange ʻa e taʻe tuí. Ko ho tufakanga ʻeni ʻi he moʻui ní. Ko ho fatongia toputapú ʻeni.

Ngaahi Tuʻunga ʻo e Tuí

Naʻe folofola hotau ʻEikí ʻo pehē, “Kapau ʻe ʻai hoʻomou tuí ʻo hangē ko e foʻi tengaʻi mūsitá,. . . ʻe ʻikai ha meʻa ʻe taha ʻe taʻe fai ʻe kimoutolu.” (Mātiu 17:20). Naʻe fakamanatu mai ʻe Palesiteni Hingikelī kiate kitautolu:

“Hili hono leaʻaki mo fakahoko ʻa e meʻa kotoa pē, ko e koloa mahuʻinga taha pē ʻa e Siasí ko e tui ʻa hono kakaí.”8

“ʻI he ngāue maʻongoʻonga mo taʻetūkua ko ʻení, ko e meʻa ʻoku tau fie maʻu tahá ko e tui ʻoku tupulaki. Ka ʻikai ʻa e tuí, ʻe tuʻu maʻu ʻa e ngāué ni. Ka ʻi hono maʻu e tuí, he ʻikai lava ʻe ha taha ʻo taʻofi ʻa ʻene fakalakalaká.”9

ʻOku hulu hake ʻa e tui peheé ʻi ha ʻulungāanga pē, hulu hake ia ʻi ha tui pē, hulu hake ia ʻi ha fakamoʻoni ʻoku ʻilo ʻe ha taha pe ongoʻí. ʻOku fanauʻi ʻe he tui moʻoní, ʻa e tui ko ia naʻe lea ki ai hotau palōfita ʻofeiná, ʻa e angamāʻoniʻoni ʻi he moʻuí ni pea mo e fakamoʻuí ʻi he moʻui ka hoko maí. ʻOku fakatefito ia ʻi he ʻOtua moʻoni mo moʻuí pea mo Sīsū Kalaisi ʻa ia naʻá Ne fekauʻi maí (vakai, Sione 17:3). ʻOku makatuʻunga ia ʻi he moʻoní, ʻo muʻomuʻa ai ʻa e ʻiló, pea fakahaohaoaʻi ʻi he ngāué. ʻOkú ne fakatupu hono maʻu ʻe he tangata matelié ʻa e mahinó pea ʻulungāanga taau mo ha fānau ʻa e Tamai Hēvaní. Ko e tui [ko ʻení] “ʻa e ʻuluaki tefitoʻi moʻoni ko ia ʻoku [tau lava ai ke maʻu ʻa e] mālohi, pule, mo e mafai”10 ki he anga ʻetau fakakaukaú, ki he anga ʻo ʻetau ngāué, pea mo e anga ʻoku taau mo kitautolu ko e kakai tangata mo e kakai fefine.

Naʻe ʻomai ʻe he ʻAposetolo ko Sēmisí kiate kitautolu ʻa e founga ke maʻu ai ʻa e faʻahinga tui ko iá:

“He ko e hā hono ʻaonga. . . . ki ha tangata ke ne pehē ʻokú ne maʻu ʻa e tuí, kae ʻikai ʻi ai mo e ngāué? . . .

“ʻIo, ʻe pehē ʻe ha tangata, te u fakahā kiate koe ʻoku ou maʻu ʻa e tuí taʻe ʻi ai mo e ngāué; ka ʻoku ou talaatu, fakahā kiate au ʻa hoʻo tui taʻe ʻi ai ha ngāué, pea te u fakahā kiate koe ʻa ʻeku tuí ʻaki ʻeku ngaahi ngāué. . . .

“. . . Ko e tui ʻoku ʻikai ʻi ai ʻa e ngaahi ngāué, ʻoku mate ia, pea ʻoku tuʻu taha pē ia. . . .

“ʻOkú ke mamata ki he ō fakataha ʻa e ngaahi ngāué mo e . . . . tuí, pea [ʻoku] fakahaohaoaʻi ʻa e tuí ʻe he ngaahi ngāué?” (LSS, Sēmisi 2:14–15, 17, 21).

ʻOku lahi ʻetau fanongo ʻo kau ki he ngaahi tuʻunga ke aʻusiá (benchmarks). Ko e tuʻunga ke aʻusiá ko ha “tuʻunga ʻo ha ngāue lelei [pe] lavameʻa. . . ʻa ia ʻoku fakafuofuaʻi pe fua mei ai ha ngaahi meʻa ʻoku tatau.”11

ʻOku ʻi ai ha ngaahi tuʻunga ʻe fā ʻe lava ke nau tokoniʻi kitautolu taki taha ke tau ʻiloʻi pe ʻoku hanga ʻe heʻetau ngaahi ngāué ʻo “fakahaohaoaʻi” ʻa ʻetau tui fakatāutaha kia Kalaisí. Ko e ngaahi tuʻungá ʻeni (1) ko e ngaahi fili ko ia ʻoku tau fakahokó, (2) ko e ngāue mateaki ʻoku hā meiate kitautolú, (3) ko ʻetau talangofuá, mo e (4) ko e ngāue tokoni ʻoku tau fakahokó. Tuku muʻa ke u fakamatalaʻi atu kinautolu.

Ko e Ngaahi Fili ʻOku Tau Faí

‘Uluakí, ko e tuʻunga ʻo e filí. “ʻOku tui [e Kāingalotu ʻo e Siasí] ʻoku totonu ke faitotonu, angatonu, sino maʻa, angalelei mo anga māʻoniʻoni. . . Kapau ʻoku ʻi ai ha meʻa ʻoku māʻoniʻoni, fakaʻofoʻofa, pe ongoongo lelei pe feʻunga mo hono vīkivikiʻí, ko e ngaahi meʻa ia ʻoku mau fekumi ki aí” (Tefito ʻo e Tuí 1:13; ko e tānaki atu hono fakamamafaʻí).

Fakakaukau angé ki ha kaumātuʻa kei talavou te tau pehē pē ko hono hingoá ko Pila. Naʻá ne ako ʻeni ʻi he Palaimelí. Naʻá ne tui ki ai he taimi ko iá; ʻokú ne tui ki ai he taimí ni. Neongo ia, kuo fuoloa ʻeni hono maʻu ʻo Pila ʻe he ponokalafí. Naʻe ʻikai te ne matuʻuaki ʻene ngaahi fakatauelé pea naʻá ne maʻunimā ia. Ko ʻene hili ange pē e mamata ʻa Pila ʻi he ngaahi ponokalafí, naʻá ne ongoʻi loto ha ongoʻi faikeheʻia, mā mo taʻe feʻunga.

ʻI he ngaahi uike siʻi kuo hilí naʻe ʻalu ai ʻa Pila ki he konifelenisi lahí. Naʻá ne fanongo ʻi he lea ko ʻeni ʻa Palesiteni Hingikelī ʻi he fakataha ʻa e lakanga fakataulaʻeikí:

“ʻOku ʻikai ha tangata pe tamasiʻi he haʻofangá ni te ne taʻe lava ʻo fakaleleiʻi ʻene moʻuí. Pea ʻoku fie maʻu ke hoko ia. He ʻoku tau maʻu foki ʻa e lakanga fakataulaʻeiki ʻo e ʻOtuá. . . .

“ʻOku haʻu fakataha e lakanga fakataulaʻeikí ni mo ha tufakanga maʻongoʻonga ke tau moʻui taau mo ia. He ʻikai lava ke tau fakahōhōloto ʻi he ngaahi fakakaukau ʻulí. Naʻe fakakaukau ʻa Pila, “Kuo taimi ke u taukaveʻi ʻeku tuí!”

Naʻá ne ʻalu ki hono kiʻi feituʻu fakapulipulí, tānaki mai e ngaahi fakatātā ʻulí, ʻa e ngaahi filimi mo e ngaahi tohi fakalieliá, pea fakaʻauha kinautolu. Naʻá ne fakamaʻa ʻene laipelí ʻaki hono toʻo mei ai ʻa e ngaahi fasi leʻo lahi mo hohaʻa pea ʻuli mo fakamātatuʻa honau ngaahi fakaleá. Naʻe fakahā ʻe Pila ʻene ngaahi maumaufonó ʻi he ʻao ʻo e ʻOtuá. Naʻá ne lotu fakamātoato ke ne maʻu ʻa e mālohi ke fakatomala, ke ne siʻaki ʻa e angakoví ni mei heʻene moʻuí. Uá, ko e tuʻunga ʻo e ngāue mateakí. “ʻOku tui [e Kāingalotu ʻo e Siasí] ki he meʻa kotoa pē kuo fakahā mai ʻe he ʻOtuá, mo e ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē ʻokú Ne fakahā mai he taimi ní, pea ʻoku mau tui te Ne kei fakahā mai ʻa mui ha ngaahi meʻa lalahi mo mahuʻinga kau ki he Puleʻanga ʻo e ʻOtuá.

“ʻOku mau tui ki hono tānaki fakataha moʻoni ʻo ʻIsilelí pea ki hono fakafoki mai ʻo e Faʻahinga ʻe Hongofulú; pea ko Saione (ko e Selusalema Foʻoú) ʻe langa ia ʻi he konitinēniti ʻo ʻAmeliká” (Tefito ʻo e Tuí 1:9–10) pea ʻoku “ui [ʻa e tangatá mo e fefiné] ʻe he ʻOtuá, ʻi he kikite” pea mo e mafai fakalangi ke fakahoko ʻeni (Tefito ʻo e Tuí 1:5).

ʻOku ō fakataha ʻa e ngāue mateakí mo e ngaahi taumuʻa fakalangi naʻe fakahoko ki muʻa ʻi hono ʻai e tuʻunga ʻo e māmaní. ʻOiauē, ʻe Tēvita mo Mīseli, ngāueʻaki hoʻomo tuí. Ko e Ngāue Tokoni ʻOku Tau Fakahokó

Faá, ko e tuʻunga ʻo e ngāue tokoní. “ʻOku tui [e Kāingalotu ʻo e Siasí] ki he ʻOtua, ko e Tamai Taʻengatá, pea ki Hono ʻAlo ko Sīsū Kalaisí, pea ki he Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní. . . .

“ʻOku mau tui . . . . ko Kalaisi pē ʻe pule ʻi he māmaní; pea ʻe fakafoʻou ʻa e māmaní ʻo maʻu ʻe ia ʻa hono nāunau fakapalataisí.” (Tefito ʻo e Tuí 1:1, 10).

ʻOku lahi ange ʻetau ʻilo kau ki he Toluʻi ʻOtuá ʻi he meʻa kuo ʻiloʻi ʻe he ʻatamai ʻo e tangatá—pea ʻoku moʻoni e meʻa ʻoku tau ʻiloʻí. ʻIkai ko ia pē, ka ʻoku tau ʻilo e ngaahi taumuʻa ʻa e ʻOtuá maʻá e māmani ko ʻení mo hono kakaí kātoa. ʻOku fakataueleʻi ha niʻihi ke ʻoua naʻa nau fuʻu ngāue mālohi he Siasí naʻa pehē tokua ko ha kakai fielotu kinautolu. ʻOku nau pehē “ko e Siasí ko ha kautaha pē, ka ʻoku ʻikai ko ha puleʻanga.”17 “Kau talavou [ko e kau ʻea hoko fakaʻeiʻeiki],”18 ʻai ke hoko e ngāue ʻa e Siasí mo e puleʻanga ʻo e ʻOtua ko e uho ia ʻo hoʻo moʻuí. Tali “ʻIo” ʻo ka ui koe ke ngāue, pea fai ho lelei tahá. Naʻe hoko heni ʻa Līvai ko ha paionia, ʻo ne fepaki ai mo e fanga heʻé, mali, ʻi ai hono foha peá ne tanu hono uaifí hili pē ha ngaahi māhina siʻi mei hono fāʻeleʻi hono fohá. “Ne kiʻi havilivili ʻo ne puhi atu homau vaka toʻá ʻo ne tētēkina atu ʻi he loto moana hoú ki he feituʻu naʻa mau fakataumuʻa ki aí; ka mau sītuʻa ki homau fonua tupuʻanga ne mau ʻofa aí. . . .Ne taki taha kumi ʻe he tangata ha feituʻu ke ne fakalaulauloto ai mo fakakaukau ki he ngaahi fiemālie ʻo hono ʻapí, ʻa e ʻofa ʻa hono uaifi ʻofeiná mo ʻene fānaú pe ngaahi kaumeʻá. . . . Ka ko ʻeni kuo ui ia ke ne ʻalu atu ʻo nofo ʻi he ngaahi potu mamaʻo ʻo e māmaní, pea koeʻumaʻā? Ke maʻu ʻa e koulá mo e silivá, pe ke maʻu maʻana ʻa e lāngilangi, ngeia mo e lelei ʻo e māmaní? ʻIkai, ko hono moʻoní ʻoku ʻikai! Ka ko e talangofua ki he ngaahi fekau ʻa e ʻEikí ke ʻave ʻa e pōpoaki ʻo e moʻoní mo e . . . fakamoʻuí ki he ngaahi puleʻanga fakapoʻuli mo kei manavahē taʻe ʻuhinga ʻi he ngaahi meʻa taʻe hā maí. Ne ʻikai fuoloa mei ai kuo ʻalu ʻa e tangata taki taha ki hono moheʻangá ke mohe mo mālōlō.
